British Gardens Worth Crossing the Atlantic For

Chatsworth House - Derbyshire

From grand stately homes to quaint cottages, there is no shortfall when it comes to the British garden. As we look forward to our 2026 travels, here are a few we are excited to visit next year:

Chatsworth House - Derbyshire

Featured in Pride and Prejudice (2005), Death Comes to Pemberley, The Duchess and Peaky Blinders (to name a few), the Chatsworth House is a site to behold, and its gardens are no exception. Known for its rose garden and dell of azaleas, the garden boasts nearly 500 years of cultivation with 105-acres, five miles of walks and famous waterworks including the 300-year-old Cascade.

Join us on the All Creatures Tour as we explore these majestic grounds.

ALL CREATURES TOUR

Hill Top - Cumbria

Small in size but large in character, the cottage garden of Hill Top provided inspiration to its famous owner, Beatrix Potter, and is frequently referenced in her books, such as The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck and The Tale of Tom Kitten. Thanks to Potter’s personal records, the garden is maintained in keeping with her original design, with a vast array of flowers and vegetables, from cabbage to carrots, and violets to periwinkles.

Together we’ll visit Hill Top and discover Beatrix Potter’s horticultural legacy on The Great North of England Tour.

Highclere Castle - Hampshire

As the film location of Downton Abbey©, Highclere Castle needs no introduction but it may be lesser known that beyond the castle and numerous gardens, the estate’s 5000 acres includes arable crops, parklands, woodlands and even a stud farm. Highclere’s gardens date back to the 13th century and its distinguished cedar trees were planted over 200 years ago.
